Message There is always profit to be made by exploiting the poor decision makers. We need people to buy things they shouldn't due to their financial situation. Without demand there's no point in mass production efforts which lower overall cost (LCD TV's, car parts, etc). So I believe that people should be allowed to make poor decisions. And other people should be able to profit from them. I don't believe that those decisions should be without consequence (bailouts, food stamps, dropping out of high school, etc). This is the only way the market will be inherently stable. People must be free to get a loan, but at the same time must be held accountable when they cannot pay that loan. I agree that the lending practices that were at play were poor but if the banks get bailed out then all they've learned is that they can get away with poor practices (no consequences if Mother USA comes to bail them out every time).
